Is the 9/11 Memorial worth it
For most visitors to New York City, yes, this is the single most powerful experience the city offers. The Memorial reflecting pools are quiet and contemplative. The Museum is dense, emotional, and historically essential. Together they take 3 hours and stay with you for years.
The visit is recommended for adult travelers, history-focused visitors, students, and anyone who watched the events of 2001. It is less appropriate for very young children. The outdoor plaza is freely accessible and is the right introduction for families with kids under 10.
